It is actually a relatively simple procedure where a lit moxibustion stick is directed to the Zhi Yin which is accupuncture point Bladder 67

You have to admit it is pretty amazing that the heat from the moxa stick penetrating this point manages to reposition a baby but it does. There is definite research out there supporting this, searching google scholar on this subject generates numerous studies.
And now here in the UK the NHS is starting to embrace the impact this has by setting up moxa clinics in hospitals. It speaks volumes when Western Medicine opens it’s door to welcome in Chinese Medicine. In London, the Whittingdon hospital is one of the hospitals that offers an acupuncture service as part of their NHS package
In New Zealand, Debra Betts has been successfully championing turning breech babies with great results. There, the practitioners or midwives often teach the woman how to work with moxa so she can safely do it herself in the comfort of her own home.
