Those who know us, know we suport The British Acupuncture Council’s Acupuncture Awareness Week. This year it is on the 3rd to the 10th of March
Here at Essex Acupuncture Room we want to use that week to offer taster sessions for pain management. Lets be clear about this, acupuncture is not solely for or about just dealing with pain, it is a health system in its own right. The reason for specifically choosing pain management is that it normally can demonstrate there and then how effective it is, and folk usually want some here and now proof to encourage them its right for them. So lets just say you attend with a pain in your shoulder/knee/back or hip and it’s pretty intense like an 8/10 (10 being the worst pain you experience and 0 = zero pain). With correct distal needling (away from the painful area) I would expect to change that to below 3/10, that is presuming you have no structural issue going on. Whereas if you attend for issues regarding insomnia/fatigue or allergies you will experience change but no immediate change whilst in clinic.
Now these taster appointments are exactly that, there won’t be long detailed history taking, there will be one chart with your personal details and a picture where you will place the x or x’s where your current pain(s) is/ are (not one that you had a week/month/year ago) and the level of discomfort you are in marked out of ten. Once needled the needles will be left in for 30-40 mins then we remark the chart and that’s it.
The cost of this will be £10 cash, flat fee for everyone. You don’t have to limit yourself to just one session, sure come every day if you fancy it, it’ll do wonders for your pain.
If you’ve every wondered what acupuncture is like but been unsure about paying top whack private prices then now is your chance to try it out at a very affordable price. So lets get booking up these clinics. New folk need to speak with me to ensure this taster clinic is right for them, phone 01245 710017. Regular attenders can book on line or in person when in clinic. Why not get a mate and come together, that’s what community acupuncture is all about -togetherness.
