Well zipeedeedodah it’s been a long time coming so all the more for us to be grateful for this fabulous bright sunny weather we are having.
Do you remember way back here when we touched on the seasons and elements in Chinese medicine. Well as mentioned before the colour for summer is red. We’ve tweaked the waiting room to incorporate the seasonal colour.
This year summer for us means a lot of continuous professional development. We have the good fortune to be able to study with some amazing visiting lecturers from overseas. Last week-end was spent studying musculo-skeletal conditions and treatments with Phil MacQueen an extremely experienced practitioner from Australia. It was all about pain relief for shoulder, neck, hip and back problems. Thankfully our passion for Chinese medicine drives us to want to soak up as much information as possible on the wide variety of styles of acupuncture treatments that are available. The upside to this life long learning is that we leave no stone unturned when it comes to treating pain and the likes. Our aim is to deliver the most effective treatment in the shortest possible time to give our clients long term pain relief or results.
Our way of working still mostly consists of needling away from the troubled area. The pain relieving results can be pretty awesome and folk seem to be reassured and amazed not to mention grateful that their actual painful body part isn’t going to be pushed, prodded or poked.
